The curtain has closed on Finishing School by Elaine Liner, we are filled with gratitude, pride and just a little bit of that “what do we do with all this free time now?” feeling.
To our incredible cast; Karl Agnew, Daryl Woodbeck, Sarah Jane (SJ) Nesbitt, Myrna Tiede, and Connie Hamon. . . thank you for bringing heart, humour and honesty to every moment on stage. You made us laugh, reflect and truly feel the story.
To our director, Pete Lovering, thank you for your vision, patience and ability to guide this production with both purpose and humour. To Wanda Woodbeck, our steady hand behind the scenes as prompt, thank you for being the quiet backbone of every performance.
To our dedicated production team, there are no words big enough. From lighting and sound to costumes, makeup, photography, publicity and front of house. . . you are the reason the magic actually happens. Theatre doesn’t run on applause alone; it runs on people who show up, solve problems and keep going. And you did that beautifully.
To our producer Shannon Swaenepoel and stage manager Susan Barnett, thank you for holding all the moving pieces together (and somehow making it look easy).
To our community partners and supporters, and to every person who helped, donated, loaned, adjusted schedules, or cheered us on - this production belongs to you too.
And most importantly, to our audience - thank you for showing up, for laughing with us and for continuing to support community theatre in Pinawa. You are the reason we do this.
We are proud to be part of a community that values storytelling, creativity and connection.
Until the next curtain call…
